Alley of the Jews and synagogue

Perhaps already present in the Middle Ages, the Jewish community is attested in Manduria in documents from the 16th century, when it was forced by the Christian community to isolate itself in a tiny neighborhood made up of narrow streets and hovels. Among these, the probable synagogue of the small community is preserved intact.
