Manduria Civic Museum

The Civic Museum of Manduria, dedicated to the memories of the First and Second World Wars, was founded in 2018 in the former Servite Monastery, a historic eighteenth-century palace in Manduria. The museum aims to preserve and transmit local memory and to bear witness to the cultural exchanges that affected the town in the extraordinary circumstances of the world wars. The museum is set up in two permanent exhibition rooms dedicated, respectively, to the First and Second World Wars; a third room is expressly conceived as a meeting place for citizens and is used for temporary art exhibitions, literary reviews, conferences, commemorative events and other cultural activities.
